Question by baby: How is it possible to conceive from sex one day after ovulation?

Ive read people talking about the possibility of conceiving from sex one day after ovulation. Egg lives for 12-24 hours? which is which , 12 hours or 24 hours???Also, what factors play a role in the life span of the egg?? I might have ovulatedyesterday, and plan on sexin to nite, do i have a chance??

Yes you can get pregnant anywhere from 2 days before you ovulate or 2 days after you ovulate. So basically you have a 5 day span every month that you can get pregnant. The reason for this is sperm can live for 24 to 72 hours or something like I think it is. It has been a while since I had to calculate that. My husband and I used to do the rhythm method 10 years ago to keep from getting pregnant and it worked for a long time. I got busy with school and kind of lost track. Then I messed up and we got pregnant. My oldest son just turned 8. Then I purposely got pregnant with my 2nd son a few years later and he was 4 in March. I hope that helps.
